This leather Alms Purse is inspired by the medieval Alms bag or purse, which date back to the 12th-13th century in Europe. The bronze purse bar and button give this spacious bag a very luxurious appearance. Historically, a lot of a person’s belongings were in the pouch(es) on their belt, since pockets in clothing were not common yet. Pouches and bags were available in all sorts, colours and sizes, and were also a way of showing one’s wealth. Altogether, the Medieval Alms Purse is 32 x 21 cm including purse bar and belt loop. The actual soft leather purse measures 19 x 21 cm. The alms purse is available in a variety of colours.
