The “ABR” in the name stands for Abrasion Resistance – created by exposing the mono to a special heat treatment process, whereby pressure is applied to compact the surface, making the line more resilient to UV rays and scratches. Water absorption is also reduced which in turn improves the knot strength. The end result is a very supple line that has great knot strength, retains its high breaking strain yet is incredibly thin compared to other brands; qualities that have been recognised for a number of years now by the England National Rivers Team and comes personally recommended by John Tyzack (6 times winner of the English National Rivers Championships).
