A deep, inky purple color with thick tears on the glass. Expressive and refined on the nose with blackberry and licorice aromas. On the palate, there is a healthy amount of blackberry and currant, hazelnut, violet flower and piñon smoke. Ultra smooth texture with tannins present at the front of the palate, but no searing dryness. A long finish. Pairs well with sausages and peppers.
