This bone comb is inspired by archaeological finds from modern Berlin, Germany from the Imperial Roman period. Combs have been in use since the Classical Era by Celts, Romans, and later by in the Viking civilization and the Middle Ages. Commonly used materials for combs are bone and horn, but there are also archaeological examples of wooden and metal combs. The Germanic beard comb measures 6 x 3 cm at the widest points, and has a thickness of 0.8 cm.
